My first published novel has been a long ... long time coming. But looking back, that's not all bad. In fact, the lessons learned over the years through writers' groups, conferences, and the generosity of talented friends, professionals, and fellow writers, are integral to successful writing. So while, I'd love for this to be my twentieth book, I'll take it being my first. I hope, not my last! All I can really hope for is to have readers enjoy reading about Maddie McDowell as much as I enjoyed writing about Maddie McDowell. It was truly as much fun as a basket full of puppies!
